My walk with the Lord

Well it has been a long time sense my last entry...
Lord, friends and family I am sorry!

The daycare is doing well, we have put together a business plan, working on putting numbers down on paper and giving this project fully to the Lord. My goal is to build a daycare facility in Mt. Pulaski to give families a place for their children to play and learn more about our Lord Jesus in a safe environment.

The last couple of weeks have been full of prayer on which direction do we take. Do we step out on FAITH and take the next step or do we stay where we are at. I have asked God to show us what He wants us to do, and every time I am shown the word FAITH! So guess what we are walking on FAITH!

A few examples of my last week.....

My mom broke down and told me she was proud of me and my walk with the Lord, and she could see the Faith we put in HIM!

In service yesterday, we learned that a healthy Church sacrifice and live by FAITH! Acts 2:45
Step out on FAITH! Don't stop, move ahead and Share your FAITH!

My reading for today, 1 Thessalonians 1:1-10. "constantly bearing in mind your work of FAITH and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the presence of our God and Father"

FAITH will produce ACTION!

Friends I am asking you, will you help me walking on this journey of FAITH! Which one of you will say yes to our Lord and turn your backs to the way of the world and to Satan? I am going to try my best to walk with the Lord daily and share His ways with all I come in contact with!
God is Awesome, Please trust Him and step out on FAITH!

Matthew 17

Scripture:
Matthew 17:20-21
"Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it move;and nothing will be impossible to you. But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting".

Observation:
what would happen if we all had this kind of faith? Would people be trying to take pray out of our school, or the 10 commandments out of the offical buildings????? Or look at the devastion around us, huuricanes, tornado's, mudslides and fires. I do not think so. When will this generation wake up and see we must give our loves back to the Lord and have this kind of faith. Unforantly it will be once the tribualation comes and it will be too late.

I think the diciples saw this time and time again. They had a hard time believing a normal man could be the Son Of God. Jesus had to tell them over and over again that he would one day be gone and they would have to contiune with out him.
Application:
I will put my faith in Jesus Christ, even when I want to work everything out my self, I will deny myself and follow the way of the Lord. I would love to share the word of the with others through the children in my daycare and interaction with the parents. I pray that they will see Jesus' love through me and my family.
Prayer:
Lord help me stay faithful to you and not the way of the world around me. Help me be an example to my family and the people around me.

Matthew 16

Matthew 16

Scripture: Matthew 16:23
I love where he tells Peter "Get behind me Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; for you are not setting your mind on God's interests, but man's."
Observation:
Jesus stands firm to the disciples when they are not sure what to do or what He is trying to show them. I see that Jesus does that for us today. If we stay in His word daily, we will find what He is trying to reveal to us. However we must stand firm for Jesus and deny himself.
Application:
I want to be able to look at situation before walking into them and observe Christ like or not. If they are NOT Christ like, then I should proclaim "Get behind me Satan!" and walk away and seek the word of God! I need to be more Christ like and seek Him first over the way of man and the way of this Earth!
Prayer:
Jesus please help me seek you First and not the way of this earth. Let me seek to be in your word daily and deny myself. Thank you Lord for sending your Son here to this earth for us to have an example to live by. Thank you for the richest you have provided here on earth, however let me use them to profit your Kingdom and not for my own selfishness. Thank you God for everything!

Catch up...

I'm sorry for not being here..
On a personal note the last couple days have been crazy!!!

Matthew 3
John the Baptist...
To baptise many people, to see the fruit of your work for the Lord. Awesome! To see the Holy Spirit fill the people who were once horrible people. That would of been amazing!!!
I would of loved to be there and seen the baptismal of Jesus and to see the heavens open and a dove coming down... Then to hear the voice telling you "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased."
Good is so great.
In my heart, I wonder I would of dropped everything to follow Him or would I just go about my life. I pray that I would of dropped EVERYTHING!

Matthew 4
To be lead to the wilderness by the Spirit.. Would you follow??
Fasting for 40 day and 40 nights, and then to se the devil tempting you for food and water... who would og thought. He does this so often in our lives, I wonder how many of us can see the devil working on us???
We need to rmemeber it says in 4:7 "You should not put the Lord your God to the test". Satan continued to try and deseve Jesus with his tricks.. Jesus stood strong. "Go, Satan! For it is written. You shall worship the Lord your God, and serve Him Only!" 4:10
Jesus was teaching the importance of leaving your life now for the importance of the kingdom of heaven is at hand. How true that is even today. The world today looks so good and wonderful, however we need to live with heaven in mind. I know I want to be there, when that day comes.

Jesus then starting looking for his disciples, Simon Peter and Andrew were fishing and Jesus said "come follow Me and I will make you fishers of men" This is a personal verse for my family, we love to fish and Randy has been part of a Ministry called Fisher of Men. They fishing in touraments and witness to other men while on the water. I have pesonal been able to paticipate in the meetings and the tourament, wow God is Awesome! Next came James son of Zebedee and John his brother they left what they were doing to follow Him.
Jeus started teaching thru the land, the word od His teaching spread, people wanted hear Him the crowds grow in size.
This time in Jesus life must of been exciting however maybe also nervous. To be a leader of many people and to be taching others of His Father! Did he have to prove himself to others, like we do today?

Chapter 5
The Sermon on the Mount
Jesus went to the side of the mountain, the disciples joined him.
He talked about how we can be blessed when doing His ways and doing good things. Then He tells us we are salt and light in this world. We should let our light shine.

Matthew 2

I could not imagine being one of the wise man and following a star to find the baby, King of the Jews and coming to the feet of King Herod and asking him about the baby.. To see the reaction on his face, the anger in his eyes. the frustration that over took his body and the jealousy that filled his heart. I am glad to see they did not fulfill his wish of bring the news back to him.

I wonder how Mary and Joseph felt when they were told to flee to Egypt because Herod was killing all male babies under the age of two. Later to hear that his son took over the throne and he still wanted Jesus died. Moving once more to the city of Nazareth. This city was know for evil and wrong doing, I wonder if they worried about his reputation with being know as a Nazarene. "A Nazarene was to be called a despicable man, a man from whom no good was to expected, and to whom no respect was to be paid. To him and his followers. they believe Let no name reproach for religion's sake seem hard to us, when our Master was himself called a Nazarene" (Matthew Henry 1209). I think they knew God would take care of everything and He had a great plan for this child.
My last thought, was for the parents that lost there son's under the age of two. Where they upset with the King of the Jews fro the killing of their babies.... They shed their blood for him, who afterwards shed his blood for them.

We should shed our blood each day for the life Jesus has given us.. What will you shed today?
time to read his word, time to read this blog, time to exercise, or even spend time with our children. Jesus should be given our first in everything.
Blessings

Jan. 5/ Matthew 1

Matthew 1

The first things that came to mine, was the Christmas program "Behold the Lamb".
In my search I could not find Jake and Sarah but I did find it by Andrew Peterson on youtube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5O8h-pkrqM

I can not imagine being Mary in her time. Pregnant and not married and still calling herself a virgin. I think the people around her thought she was crazy.
And for Joseph, how could she be pregnant, he had not been with her. He probley questioned who she had been with. What would you think if the person you were dating for years and had never been in the bedroom with was now pregnant? I would think they would of been with someone else and cheated the relationship, was the relationship honest and true. Better yet, do they really love me? In their day Mary could of been stoned for this.
Thank you God, that He sent an Angel to explain everything to the both of them. The Angel even told them the sex and name of the baby. Wow God is so AWESOME!

Thank you God for sending your son to this earth for us to see your work through Him. I pray that through this reading, I will understand the faith of Mary and Joseph and the miracle taking place in their lives. The faith of an angel telling them the name and sex of this child, and knowing the purpose of His life. The strength of teaching him the way of the Lord and not the little things of the world. Thank you!

New Years

It's a new year. What is on your heart? What would you like to accomplish? What would you like to change? Have you made any New Year's Resolutions?

The following prayer was part of my devotion today found @ Crosswalk.com it was written by Wendy Blight .
Father, You are Holy and call us to be Holy. Yet, we confess that so often our hearts wander from You, our speech does not glorify You, and our actions do not honor You. Soften our hearts to receive the words Your sweet Spirit has to speak to us. Clothe us with humility. Take away our desire to always be right and have our own way. Help us to seek Your Word in all that we say and do. Help us to submit to Your Word; allow it to penetrate those deep places in our hearts that resist change. If necessary, put us through the refiner's fire to burn off those things that keep us from walking in step with Your character.

Give us hearts that love and seek after Truth above all else. Give us wisdom and discernment to reject the lies of this world and the evil one. Guide us into all Truth. Guard our hearts and keep our eyes fixed on You. Grow in us those things that will make us more like You. As we study Your Word, fill us and saturate us with You!

Today, Father, we surrender our thoughts, our speech, and our hearts. Thank You that You are Faithful and True. We trust You will do a mighty work in us and through us this year and carry it on to completion until the day we step into eternity with You. Help us to trust in You with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding. Help us to acknowledge You in all our ways so that we can hear Your voice as You say, "This is the way, walk in it."

Lord, we love You and thank You that You love us. May our lives be a living testimony of You. We ask this in the powerful and mighty name of Your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord who will do immeasurably more than we could ever ask or imagine. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-18, "Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; with all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and supplication for the saints."

God is Good!
Blessings,
